This is Acornsoft release number SNG38: the first disc-based version of Elite for the BBC Micro Model B. (To be precise, this is version 1.1, which fixes the bugs in version 1.0.)

In 2021, the Elite source code was documented in great detail. Subsequently, version 1.1 of release SNG38 of Elite was modded. The mod, which is available online, runs on a BBC Micro but incorporates code from the BBC Master version of Elite to eliminate flicker whenever ships are redrawn on screen.
